Astropix from Chris Wise, taken from our garden in Surrey, England, 30 miles south of London. Cloudy English skies...so not the world's best. But it's amazing what comes out.

This rather colourful scene is the Rosette Nebula in the Hubble Palette....Sulphur II glows Red; Hydrogen alpha glows Green: and Oxygen III glows blue. I only managed 6x10 mins of the sulphur data, so the red is a little grainy. Nevertheless, it shows a huge amount of detail for an image taken from our light-ridden and murky English skies. I particularly like the way the narrowband increases contrast to reveal the more delicate structures of the nebula. I have added in some RGB data for the star colours. The SII data was taken in 10 minute subs, unguided, which is a tribute to the tracking accuracy of the Paramont ME2 with Tpoint and Protrack activated (250 point model)
